She was the daughter of John de Warenne, 7th Earl of Surrey, and Alice de Lusignan.

Isabella married John de Balliol, son of John de Balliol and Devorgulla De Galloway. (John de Balliol was born circa 1250 in Scotland and died in Apr 1313 in Château Galliard, Normandy, France.)
