  • Marriage: Sarah Josephine Doyle in 1920 in St. Stephen's Green Church, Dublin, Ireland
  • Died: 19 Dec 1940, North Atlantic, aboard the "Isolde" aged 47

Cause of his death was Sunk by nazi U-boat.

  General Notes:

He had lovely deep blue eyes but was blind in one eye. He was somewhat formal, as people were then, so it wasn't acceptable to ask him which eye was blind. His middle name is not certain.

He was born in Dún Laoghaire. It is the main passenger and mail port for Dublin and a seaside resort with yachting and fishing. With the opening of a railroad to Dublin in 1834 and the completion of the port in 1859, Dún Laoghaire grew rapidly. The city was known as Kingstown before 1921 and as Dunleary before 1821.

Noted events in his life were:

• He was a Merchant Mariner.

Patrick married Sarah Josephine Doyle, daughter of Edward Francis Doyle and Catherine Mary Dooge, in 1920 in St. Stephen's Green Church, Dublin, Ireland. (Sarah Josephine Doyle was born on 15 Apr 1891 in Monkstown, Dublin, Leinster, Ireland, died on 21 Dec 1975 in Lions Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, B.C., Canada and was buried on 24 Dec 1975 in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.)

  Marriage Notes:

They were married late in the year, possibly October.
