Research Notes: She was 5 years old in the census for 1865 and living with her siblings and parents on their Baastad Nordre farm in Trøgstad. Emilie married Jens Baastad, son of Hans Andreasen Baastad and Inger Larsdatter. (Jens Baastad was born on 26 Dec 1862, christened on 18 Jan 1863 in Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway, died on 17 Jul 1943 and was buried in Trøgstad church, Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway.) Marriage Notes: In the census for 1900 Jens and Emilie were living at Melkekondenseringsfabrikkens pensionat in Toten, Oppland. With them were their two daughters, Borghild and Ingrid Sofie, and their fosterdaughter, Signe Aasta Holter. Signe Aasta was Emilie's deceased sister's daughter. |
