Maria married Nils Mikkelsen, son of Mikkel Guttormsen Evenrød and Maria Kionigsdatter Reklingsholm. (Nils Mikkelsen was born circa 1732.)

When their son Hans was born they were recorded as Niels Michelsen og Maria Olsdatter Houge.

In the census for 1801 Niels and Maria were farming part of the Hauge farm in Tune. They were both in their first marriage and had 3 of their children with them:
