   Other names for Torkild were Torkil Vilhelmsen Moseby, Thorkild Vilhelmsen and Torkel Villemsen.

In 1862 Torkel bought the Moseby farm in Askim from his brother Syver for 1200 spdl.

The date of his death was recorded as 31 apr 1907.

Torkild married Anne Sofie Olsdatter. (Anne Sofie Olsdatter was born in 1836 in Vamnes, Skiptvet, Østfold, Norway, died on 18 Dec 1898 in Gjellestadhagen, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 23 Dec 1898.)

  Marriage Notes:

In March 1862, when their daughter Inger Marie was baptised, they were called Thorkild Vilhelmsen og Anne Sophie Olsdr Moseby.

In the 1865 census they owned and farmed the Maasebye farm in Askim. Thorkild was 50 and Anne was 39 years old. With them were their daughters Inger M and Annete. Two servants, both born in Eidsberg, were also there: Laurits Johannesen (16) and Johanne Christiansdatter (17). ^{4 5}
