In May 1830 they were recorded on Oraug plads in Askim.

In the 1865 census they were cottagers with land on part of the Oraug farm in Askim. Mathis was 67 and Ragnild was 71 years old. Their 33 year old unmarried son Ole Mathisen was with them. 1 4
