Mari married Anders Johnsen, son of John Andersen Hobøl and Helene Christensdatter Mørktvedt, on 20 Apr 1874 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Anders Johnsen was born on 15 Oct 1849 in Hobøl, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was christened on 25 Nov 1849 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

• Alt Marriage: 3 Marriage Notes: In the census for 1900 they lived on and farmed the Østby (bnr. 3) farm in Askim. They had a daughter, a son, a fosterdaughter, and a fosterson with them: Anna, Henrik, Karen M Olsen (born 1891, Kristiania), and Paul Josef Hansen (born 1898, Kristiania). There were also two swedish farmhands living on the farm.
