General Notes:
Halvor Kristensen on the Skjørtenhytta farm in Askim, but was raised on Langli u. Hol. He lived for a while in Svindal in Våler and later bought the Teigen farm in Nordby in Ås, which he farmed until he took over the Øvre Salseng farm in Askim. Halvor bought the Salseng farm in 1876 for 10 400 kr.

He was incorrectly listed as 49 years old in the census for 1865.
Halvor married Kirstine Ingebretsdatter Glosli. (Kirstine Ingebretsdatter Glosli was born in 1828 in Frogn, Akershus, Norway, died on 25 Dec 1902 in Salseng, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 3 Jan 1903.)
Marriage Notes:
In 1865 they owned and farmed the Sundby østre farm in Aas, Akershus. They had four daughters and two sons with them at that time. 2
