The 1865 census shows Ole Guthorms. as the head of the house on the Pella (215) farm in Trøgstad. Also shown are his wife, his 4 sons, his 4 daughters, and 2 'føderaadsfolk': Lars Ols. ('e'...widower), age 67, and Berthe Enersd. ('ug'...unmarried). All except his wife, Marthe Andersdatter, were born in Trøgstad.

The census also identifies that the farm had 2 horses, 7 'stort kveg', 5 'får', 1 1/4 'rug', and 11 'by'.

Ole married Marthe Andersdatter on 28 Jul 1849 in Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway.1 (Marthe Andersdatter was born in 1829 in Norway, died on 27 Dec 1905 in Bingsengen, Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 11 Jan 1906 in Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway.) The cause of her death was pneumonia [lungebetennelse].


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage record shows that he was 21 and she was 20 years old when they married. He was from the Næs farm and his father was Guttorm Olsen Næs. She was from the Pella farm and her father was Anders Enderdalen (?).
