Cause of his death was heart attack [hjerteanfall]. Another name for Martin was Martin P. Bingen. General Notes: In 1900 he was a farmer, and owner of the Bingen vestre farm (Gnr 91, Bnr 3) in Trøgstad. Also living on the farm were his wife Marie, their son Emil, their daughters Julie Matilde and Karoline Olava, their son-in-law Axel Danielsen, and their granddaughters Signe Marie and an "Udøbt Pige" (unbaptized girl born 19.11.1900). Axel Danielsen was at Næs søndre in Trøgstad at the time of the census. Research Notes: His year of birth is also recorded as 1839. Noted events in his life were: • He was confirmed on 2 Oct 1853 in Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway. A note in the Ministerialbok states: "Maadelig, og mangler Evner." • He was a Farmowner and farmer. Martin married Marie Olsdatter, daughter of Ole Johansson and Unknown, on 9 Jan 1864 in Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway. (Marie Olsdatter was born on 8 Feb 1833 in Vermeland, Sweden,7 died on 4 Feb 1922 in Bingen vestre, Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 24 Feb 1922 in Trøgstad, Østfold, Norway.)
