   Cause of his death was starvation.

  General Notes:

Valdemar and his brother Erik fled to Norway in 1304 and reconciled with their brother Birgir in 1305. They imprisoned Birgir in 1306. Later, in December, 1317, Birgir had them both imprisoned, where they died.

He died in prison.

Valdemar married Christine Thorkelsdottir, daughter of Torkel Knutsson and Unknown, in 1302. The marriage ended in divorce in 1305.


Valdemar next married Ingeborg Eiriksdottir, daughter of Eirik II Magnusson of Norway and Isabel de Bruce, on 29 Sep 1312. (Ingeborg Eiriksdottir was born in 1297.)
