Another name for Ole was Ihlen. General Notes: In about 1790 Ole took over the nordre Ilen, bnr. 1, farm in Askim after his parents for 350 rdl. In 1796 he built a new main building there. Medical Notes: He was recorded as 49 years old when he died. Ole married Kirsti Jensdatter Skjørten-Stegen, daughter of Jens Larsen and Katrine Andersdatter, on 22 Oct 1790 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Kirsti Jensdatter Skjørten-Stegen was born in 1761 in nedre Ruud, Askim, Østfold, Norway, died in 1810 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 4 Nov 1810.) Marriage Notes: In 1801 they owned and farmed the Ihlen Nordre farm in Askim. Ole was 35 and Kirsti was 40 years old, both in their first marriage. They had their five children with them: Niels, Lars, Ole and Ole (twins) (... one must have been Anders), and Maria. 4 |
