   Another name for Birte was Bertha Marie.

  General Notes:

She was only 13 years old in 1880 when she and her older siblings moved to the USA. She went to live in Mills City, Iowa, with an Aunt and fugded on her age evidently because when she died years later she was about three years older than the truth. She did this possibly to be independent a year after coming to America.

Birte married Westagaard.
