  General Notes:

Liv and Andres had 3 surviving sons, Torbjorn, Torbjorn and Aslak, when Andres died of a ruptured appendix at the age of 43. Liv and her sons immigrated to the United States a couple of years after his death. They were among the first settlers in Milan, Minnesota, a town of about 400 individuals, even today. It lies a few miles outside of Montevideo, Minn, in the western part of the state.

The middle son, Torbjorn known as "T", or Tom, had 11 children who survived to adulthood.

Liv married Andres Torbjørnsson, son of Torbjørn Andresson and Sigrid Olavsdatter. (Andres Torbjørnsson was born in 1823 in Lia, Kviteseid, Telemark, Norway and died in 1866 in Nykos, Kviteseid, Telemark, Norway.) The cause of his death was ruptured appendix.


  Marriage Notes:

In the census for 1865 Andres and Liv were cottagers with land on the Nykaas farm in Kviteseid, Telemark. They had 4 sons with them, two with the same first name:
Tarbjørn Andresson, deres Søn, ug, 18, Hvideseid;
Tarbjørn Andresson, deres Søn, ug, 16, Hvideseid;
Aslak Andresson, deres Søn, ug, 8, Hvideseid;
Halvor Andresson, deres Søn, ug, 4, Hvideseid. 1
