Another name for Andres was Anders Nielsen. Noted events in his life were: • He was a cottager with land [Husmand med jord] in 1801 in Lia, Kviteseid, Telemark, Norway. Andres married Aslaug Tovsdotter in 1789.1 (Aslaug Tovsdotter was born in 1759 and died in 1829 in Lia, Kviteseid, Telemark, Norway.) Marriage Notes: In the census for 1801 Anders Nielsen and Aslev Thovsdotter were living at Lien under Fiaagesund Søndre in Kviteseid, Telemark. He was 39 and she was 40 years old. They were both in their first marriage and had 2 sons with them, Thov (10) and Torbiørn (3). Anders' widowed father was also living with them. 3 |
