In the census for 1900 Nils and Bergithe Johannessen owned and farmed the Jegstad farm in Vestby, Akershus. With them were 5 daughters and 2 sons (Anne - 1890, Bottolf - 1891, Hans - 1893, Marie and Ragnhild - 1896, Lene - 1897, and Hilda - 1900). Also with them was Bergithe's mother, Maren Bottolfsen - 1825, Aas. ²
