General Notes: "Reidun was a very good wife to me. She worked at Langeland when we met in 1946. She helped me on our farm in all the 36 years we operated the farm with many animals. We also took in patients from Lier hospital. Reidun received the Kings' silver medal for her care of the patients. She had much sickness over the years with many operations, and it took her life in 1987. She was always a helpful wife and mother in all things. We all miss her and know she is in a better place now." Noted events in her life were: • She was educated at Skjåstad Husmorskole in 1946. Reidun married Arnt Ekeberg, son of Anders Ekeberg and Helga Amalie Hansen, on 15 Oct 1949 in Frogner church, Lier, Buskerud, Norway. (Arnt Ekeberg was born on 13 Sep 1918 in Eikeberg, Tranby, Buskerud, Norway.) |
