Isabella of Jerusalem 1
General Notes: Isabella of Jerusalem was Queen of Jerusalem from 1192 to 1205. She was the daughter of Amalric I of Jerusalem and Maria Comnena, a grandniece of Byzantine emperor Manuel I Comnenus. Noted events in her life were: • She was a Queen of Jerusalem from 1192 to 1205. Isabella married Conrad of Montferrat circa 1191. (Conrad of Montferrat was born circa 1146 and died on 28 Apr 1192.) The cause of his death was he was killed by assassins. Isabella next married Henry II of Champaigne, son of Henry I the Liberal of Champaigne and Mary of France Capet, in 1192. (Henry II of Champaigne was born circa 1166 and died in 1197.) The cause of his death was a fall from a tower. |
