General Notes: William V of Aquitaine (969 - January 30, 1030), nicknamed le Grand (the Great), was Duke of Aquitaine and Count of Poitiers as William II of Poitiers. Noted events in his life were: • Acceded: Duke of Aquitaine, 993. William married Agnes of Gévaudan circa 997. (Agnes of Gévaudan died after 1005.) William next married Prisca of Gascony in 1011. (Prisca of Gascony died circa 1018.)
