Cause of her death was the black death. Medical Notes: Some say she was poisoned. Noted events in her life were: • Acceded: Countess of Leicester, 23 Mar 1361. Maud married William V of Zealand Wittelsbach, son of Louis IV the Bavarian Wittelsbach and Margaret of Holland, in 1352 in Kings Chapel, Palace of Westminster. (William V of Zealand Wittelsbach was born in 1327 and died in 1389.) |
