Ole married Maren Andersdatter, daughter of Anders Mogensen Onstad and Johanne Torersdatter Henstad, on 9 Jan 1851 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Maren Andersdatter was born on 14 Jul 1828 in Dramstad, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was christened on 10 Aug 1828 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)

When they married Ole was 27 years old and from the Fossum farm in Askim. His father was Mathis Olsen. Maren was 22 1/3 years old and from the Dramstad farm. her father was Anders Monsen. The best men at the marriage were Hans Henstad and Mathis Dæhli.

They were on the Odalen farm in Askim when their daughter Anne Oline was christened in March 1854.

In the 1865 census they owned and farmed part (56a1) of the Odalen farm in Askim. Ole was 43 and Maren was 37 years old. With them they had their five daughters, two sons, Maren's mother, and Maren's brother Mathis.

In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Odalen (gnr.34, bnr.4) farm. Their unmarried daughter Thea was with them helping with the farm and housework, and her son, Karl Arnt. ^{1 2 3}
