Søndre Rud farm after his father-in-law in 1946 for 12 000 kr. His son took it over in 1969. Research Notes: His place of birth is also recorded as Skiptvet. The census for 1900 lists his year of birth as 1897 in Spydeberg. His confirmation record also records Spydeberg as his birthplace. 5 Noted events in his life were: • He was a log driver [tømmerfløfter]. • He was confirmed on 6 Oct 1912 in Askim church, Askim, Østfold, Norway. Sverre married Alis Anette Glans, daughter of August Vilhelm Jonassen Glans and Karoline Anette Mattisdatter, on 11 Jul 1942 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Alis Anette Glans was born on 13 Jan 1908 in Kykkelsrud, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was christened on 20 Apr 1908.) |
