Gudmund Kristiansen 1 2 3
Another name for Gudmund was Gudmund Christiansen. General Notes: Gudmund and Gunhild were cottagers on Fjellstad u. Tovengen in 1834 when they had their son Kristian, who died the same year. They were cottagers on the Frydenlund u. Kvakkestad farm in Askim from the mid 1830's until the beginning of the 1840's. He was a cottager on the Grottenberg u. Toverud farm in the 1840's. He later went to Autenhytta and then to Torphytta. Research Notes: The census for 1865 shows him as a cottager with land on part of the Torp farm in Askim. He was 73 years old and widowed. It also shows his daughter Maren with him, 43 years old, and her two sons Chistian Arnesen (14) and Gustav Carlsen (7). The Gårdshistorie, however, shows Gustav Karlsen as the son of Gudmund's other daughter, Karen. Gudmund married Gunhild Jonsdatter. (Gunhild Jonsdatter was born circa 1795, died on 21 Oct 1851 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 30 Oct 1851.) |
