General Notes: Peder took over the Magnhildrud farm in Askim in 1790. He was a cottager there until about 1800 when he moved to Elvestad under Oraug. Peder married Anne Kristiansdatter, daughter of Kristian Andersen and Eli Gulbrandsdatter, on 4 Nov 1785 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Anne Kristiansdatter was born circa 1759.) Marriage Notes: In 1801 the family was on Præstegaard in Askim as cottagers. Peder Johnsen was listed as 43 years old and Anne Christiansdatter was 42. They were both in their first marriage. They had 3 children with them. Johanne was not listed, but there was a Johanne Pedersdatter, 15 years old, working on the Løchen Nordre farm as a helper in the home of Lars Hansen and Maria Povelsdatter. 4 |
