In the 1801 census Christen Svendsen and Anna Clemetsdatter lived on the Høye Nordre farm which they owned in Eidsberg. He was 47 years old and in his second marriage; she was 30 and in her first. They had four children with them: Engbreth Christensen, 16 years old; "Ingeborg Christensen", 12 yrs; Gunild Christensdatter, 9 yrs; and Ragnild Christensdatter, 6 years old. There were also two servants with them. Two other families also lived on the farm. ³
