Anton anställdes som Medtodistpastor.

In 1884, when both his parents were dead, Anton got from his brother-in-law the other half of the Fuglesangen Nordre farm in Askim and the Kjærseg farm in Trøgstad (løbeno. 21a/2 og b) for 6750 kr. Anton already owned the one half. Anton sold Fuglesangen Nordre 2 years later for 3600 kr.

In 1900 Anton was a widower living on the Solvang farm in Eidsberg. He had five children and his widowed mother-in-law living with him.
