Mathias lived on a half part of the Mørkved Store farm in Askim that his father appointed to him.

  Research Notes:

He was 1 year old in the 1801 census. He was 36 years old when he remarried in 1837.

Mathis married Marthe Erichsdatter. (Marthe Erichsdatter was born circa 1804 and died in 1834.)

Mathis next married Marthe Olsdatter in 1837. (Marthe Olsdatter was born circa 1791.)

  Marriage Notes:

He was 36 years old when they married; she was 46. As a result of their marriage, the Mørkved farm in Askim was again one farm.
