Nils married Johanne Andersdatter Eiebakke, daughter of Anders Gundersen and Berte Halvorsdatter. (Johanne Andersdatter Eiebakke was born on 4 Jan 1821 in Askim, Østfold, Norway and was christened on 14 Jan 1821 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)


  Marriage Notes:

In 1843 Nils inherited the Skjørtenstegen farm in Askim for 700 spdl. from Lars Trulsen and Berte Nilsdatter who were childless.

In the census for 1865 they owned and farmed the Stegen farm in Askim. Niels was 72 and Johanne was 45 years old. They had four children with them: Helene (17), Hans (14), Lars (11), and Andrine (5).

In 1873 Nils sold the farm for 3620 kr. Nils and Johanne moved to the Risengen farm where their daughter Andrine was confirmed in 1876. Johanne's brother, Johannes Andersen Gurud owned Risengen when she and Nils moved there. 4
