  Research Notes:

In the census for 1801 there was Rangnild Povelsdatter living on the Onstad farm in Askim. She was unmarrried, 19 years old, and a servant. This is possibly the same person.


Ragnhild married Gunder Paulsen, son of Paul Andersen and Ingeborg Gundersdatter Blunkeslett, on 13 Nov 1804 in Bakker, Askim, Østfold, Norway.1 (Gunder Paulsen was born in 1777 in Trostebæk, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 22 Jun 1777 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died in Apr 1812 in Mørkvedteigen, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 12 Apr 1812 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.)


  Marriage Notes:

Gunder farmed on the Bakker farm in Askim with his father for a few years. His sons Jørgen and Paul were born on Bakker. In 1810 the family was on the Engen (u. Eidareng) farm, where they had their daughter Karen. Shortly after they moved to the Mørkved-Teigen farm, where Gunder died as a cottager in 1812. His son Paul died the same year. Ragnhild remarried with Kristoffer Engebretsen and stayed on Mørkved-Teigen where her son Jørgen was confirmed in 1820.

Ragnhild next married Kristoffer Engebretsen on 12 Mar 1816 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.1


  Marriage Notes:

In August 1819 when their daughter Gunnild was baptised they were recorded as Christopher Ingebredtsen og Ragnild Paulsdatter Morikvedplads. 4
