Johan next married Anne Marie Olsdatter, daughter of Ole Andersen Blandhoel and Maria Hansdatter, on 6 Jul 1872 in Askim, Østfold, Norway.¹ (Anne Marie Olsdatter was born on 30 Dec 1835 in Hellerud, Askim, Østfold, Norway, christened on 17 Jan 1836 in Askim, Østfold, Norway, died on 21 Nov 1906 in Ytre Hoel, Askim, Østfold, Norway and was buried on 1 Dec 1906.)

In September 1872 when their daughter Elen Marie was christened, they were called Johan Olsen og Anne Marie Olsdr Blandhol.

They also had a stillborn son in 1877.

In the census for 1900 they owned and farmed the Hoel (gnr. 63, bnr. 1) farm in Askim. With them were their two sons Ole and Henrik, and their daughter Elen and her family.

Elen and family must have been visiting because a note says that they normally lived in Kraakstad, Akershus. ^{1 3}
